The Real World - Key West (Season 17)

What happens when you take a Laid Back 2-Co0L-4-Scho0L guy, an Anorexic Emotional Mess, a Responsible Adult, a Tension Deluding Latino, a Double-D Ukrainian Brat, add a Couple Of Homosexuals, and have them all live in a house, have their lives tapes to find out what happens when people stop being polite and start being fake? You get an MTV Reality Show, and while most of the shows cast members have followed this same formula, our latest and greatest reality obsession is Season 17, "Key West".

The show seems to be off to the slowest start since its original season 'Real World New York' , I mean by now in Season 8 'Hawaii' two people already had gone skinny dipping, and in Season 12 'Las Vegas' (The Best To Date) there had already been 2 hot tube three-somes. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR YOUR ANIMAL HOUSE INSTINCTS TO KICK IN AND THE HOOK UPS TO START FLYING!?!?

The problem is obviously the casting, with an ongoing trend of casting a 3-4 ratio of girls to guys every other season ('Key West' falling into that "other" season) has lead to a 100% boredom ratio every other season. Its simple sexonomics, if there is a greater female to male ratio within a certain room or environment then those chances for a male to successfully score with any given female is proportionally greatened. Meaning that the because of the small male supply, the women are forced to fight for the only dominant male (adding the -1 gay guy, and -1 ugly guy, to the full total guy spectrum), thus creating all of the great TV action, the aggression, and most importantly the nudity. Unfortunately Slutlana walked into the house and noticed that her only competition was a flat chested, emotionally disconnected, old (24) hag, and immediately knew that all of the males in the house (weirdly including the gay one) would be all over her like Isaac Mizrahi on a red carpet. If she had walked into a house where the competition was a little bit more impressive, she would have been forced to resort to plan Double-D and shown off her favorite little friends.
