Odette Yustman Sexy in The UnBorn

The 23 year old actress who gained fame thanks to her portrayal of terror and presence of tears in this year’s monster movie ‘Cloverfield’ is switching from sidekick sweetheart to leading lady with the debut of her much anticipated horror flick ‘The Unborn’.

The film, which is already being praised as the rebirth of horror, follows 18 year old Casey Beldon (Yustman) as she fights the spirit that is slowly taking possession of her. Think ‘The Ring’ meets ‘The Eye’ with just a hint of ‘The Exorcist’.

So why do audience members seem to really enjoy hearing women scream? “I don’t know,” Yustman says, laughing. “Don’t make this sound weird, but does it remind people of other things?”

Odette, whose ‘Cloverfield’ co-star Lizzy Caplan is also breaking into mainstream media her own way, is making her marks as Hollywood’s future A-Lister. GQ magazine named Odette their Virge Girl for 2008, an accomplishment which puts her in the ranks of celebrities like Isla Fisher, Jessica Biel and Eva Mendes who GQ’s rarely inaccurate title predicted the prominent career futures of years before their reign over Friday night ever took place.

The prophecy of her tabloid destiny doesn’t end with a G and a Q. RollingStone magazine has also foreseen Yushman’s cover photo shoot life. The half Cuban, quarter Italian, quarter French, kinda Colombian, all hottie actress made their prestigious HOT List as the “Hot Bombshell” for 2008. The Alba look-a-like downplayed her credibility for the title in an interview with Sean Woods for the rocker mag’s December issue, “I’m pretty skinny, and, being Cuban, I shouldn’t be,” says the sexy post-teen who didn’t make Maxim’s Hot 100 or FHM’s Top 100 Sexiest Women for 2008. “It baffles me. Where are the hips? Where are the boobs? I would love to be voluptuous.”
